UPDATE
August 28, 2005

My computer is finally working again, after four months. Huzzah. More than ever, I am ready to swear off of PCs and become a Mac girl. Hell - oh, I'm sorry, Dell can freeze over before I buy another one of their machines. This whole fiasco was ridiculous.

Anyway, I'm grateful to have access to my files again. To celebrate having my webpage program back, I've re-designed the site (obviously), and given it a new name. Welcome to eleMENTAL, version Akai/Red

One of the biggest changes is the way I'm presenting my artwork. A few select pieces from the past five years are still in the Fanart section. I think these are my best, and the ones I'd like to keep up as a sort of portfolio. The rest has been sent to a new section, the Archives.

Also, there is now an Original artwork section. Over the past couple of years, my creative style has changed drastically. I am no longer content to merely play in others' universes. Instead, I've started to develop my own characters and scenarios. This has been quite exciting. There are no boundaries, no standards where someone else can look at it and say "She looks just like the cartoon!" or "You drew him all wrong!" This can be both extremely fun or incredibly frustrating. It's hard to create interesting characters. It's hard to make other people care about them. Still, when I manage to make someone laugh, or think, or smile, or get upset because of something my character said, or did, or didn't do...it's a rush.

I still enjoy dabbling in others' universes, and will continue to produce fanart. However, I hope you will come and take a peek at the new universe I have brewing in here.
